About

I have studied at Palacký University, Olomouc (Department of History) and at Central European University (Department of Medieval Studies). I have my PhD from Olomouc (2005). My research interests are medieval and early Renaissance history in general, with the specialisation in later Middle Ages, social, political, church and cultural history. I am writing about Matthias Corvinus (Hunyadi), Bohemia, Moravia, Hungary, recently also about papacy, papal legates and diplomacy in general.

Currenty, I teach at the Department of History (Palacký University), concentrating on the Midlle Ages (from various aspects) and I am also the Director of Studies of Euroculture Erasmus Mundus Programme at the same department.
